A B O U T

My work is cut through with my experiences in the political punk scene of Washington, DC and its surrounding suburbs. I owe my DIY ethos and community commitments to the ideals modeled by my friends, heroes and mentors. My years in these spaces also taught me hard lessons - many of which I'm still learning - about the unsustainability of white- and male-dominated countercultures, and the ways power and privilege persist and do harm even when our intentions are good.

* As a settler on the lands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron-Wendat Nation, and the Mississaugas of the Credit, I strive to honor my responsibilites to the Dish with One Spoon, the Two Row Wampum, Treaty 13, and the Williams Treaty.

* As a white male-socialized person, it is my work to confront white supremacy, misogyny, and ableism in their many forms, both within myself and interpersonally. I recognize that this is an unending struggle to which I must recommit myself daily.

Above all, I aspire to balance creative practice with healthy relationships and steadfast support for the people and communities who inspire me. This means having a rich life outside of gamedev, knowing my rights as a worker, and always being open to change.
